Emergencies
For acute illnesses and urgent clarifications: you do not need an appointment in our emergency-hours. Please report to reception every day from 09:00 to 10:00 and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 15:00 to 16:00.
Check-ups
From birth to school age, your child is entitled to regular screening examinations. Each U examination includes a detailed physical examination, measurement of body dimensions and a comprehensive examination of your child's neurologic, speech- and social development.
Vaccinations
We carry out all vaccinations recommended by the STIKO (Standing Vaccination Commission of the Robert Koch Institute). In the case of risk constellations in the family (chronic lung or heart disease), we also offer all family members flu and corona vaccinations.
Travel medicine
For travelling families, we offer comprehensive advice on infection risks abroad as well as the necessary vaccinations in accordance with current travel medical recommendations as an optional service. The necessary immunisation documentation can also be issued in English.
Hearing test
Your child's sensory organs are regularly tested as part of the check-ups. During the hearing test, your children are asked to use headphones to point out various words on a picture board, while the volume of the sentences spoken is gradually reduced. If hearing loss is detected, your child will be referred to an ENT specialist.
Eyesight test Plusoptix
Digital amblyopia screening is offered as an early detection examination by some insurances as well as an optional service. This examination, which only takes a few seconds, enables a precise examination of the eyesight of infants and small children. It is recommended to initiate an early diagnosis in the first year of life, especially in case of positive family history for vision problems.
Allergy test
A basic allergological diagnosis should be considered for chronic, recurrent respiratory diseases and suspected food intolerances. If sensitisation to a specific allergen is detected, further allergological diagnostics (provocation testing) may be necessary either at an inpatient or outpatient department for paediatric allergology.
Pulmonary function measurement
If your child suffers from a recurrent dry cough, especially at night, which increases with physical exertion, infections or contact with pollen or animals, a diagnosis of bronchial asthma should be considered. Checking lung function and airway resistance allows us to determine the severity of the disease and the response to treatment.
Certificates
We are the point of contact for necessary certificates in childhood and adolescence, such as nursery admission examinations, sports fitness examinations and applications for rehabilitative physiotherapy. Please note that these certifications are generally not covered by public insurances and are as such optional services (IGeL).
